Breast surgery
Explore the procedureHow is the implant size chosen?
By the width of the breast base, the thickness and quality of the tissue, and the position of the fold. Your chest defines the safely compatible volume range; within that range, your preference is taken into account.
Does breast augmentation lift a sagging breast?
No. The implant restores volume and projection, but doesn't correct significant sagging. When there is meaningful sagging, the recommendation is a lift, with or without an associated implant.
How long before I can return to work?
For jobs without physical effort, return usually happens between the second and third week. Activities requiring upper-body effort take longer and depend on clearance at an in-person follow-up.
Does breast surgery prevent breastfeeding later?
Many techniques preserve the ability to breastfeed, but none guarantee it. If you're planning a pregnancy in the near term, that changes the approach and should be discussed at the consultation.
Do I need to replace the implant after ten years?
There is no automatic replacement schedule. What exists is monitoring: periodic clinical and imaging exams. Replacement is indicated by a change, not a calendar.
Does implant removal leave the breast empty?
It depends on the skin and remaining tissue. When excess skin is expected, removal is usually combined with a lift and, when indicated, fat grafting to restore shape.
Is breast reduction considered cosmetic?
It has a significant functional component, neck pain, shoulder pain, bra-strap grooving and limitations for physical activity are common complaints. The evaluation records these objectively.
Does the scar disappear?
A scar doesn't disappear; it matures. Over the first year it changes color and texture, and the result depends on technique, individual healing characteristics and sun protection.
Body contouring
Explore the procedureWhat's the difference between liposuction and a tummy tuck?
Liposuction treats localized fat in someone with good skin elasticity. A tummy tuck treats excess skin and, when present, diastasis. They are different problems, with different corrections, and often indicated together.
Does liposuction help you lose weight?
No. It's not a treatment for obesity and doesn't replace lifestyle changes. It reshapes contour in someone who already has a stable weight; weight stability is actually a prerequisite.
When is a mini tummy tuck used instead of a full tummy tuck?
A mini tummy tuck is indicated when excess skin is restricted to the area below the navel. In that case, there is no umbilical repositioning and the scar is smaller. If there is excess above the navel, a full tummy tuck is indicated. Both surgeries correct diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles, when present.
Is HD lipo suitable for everyone?
No. It requires good skin quality, an appropriate fat percentage and a regular training routine. Without those factors the definition doesn't hold and the result tends to be irregular.
Does Renuvion replace skin removal?
No. It improves mild to moderate sagging and enhances the result, but when there is true excess skin, surgical resection remains the indication.
How long do I need to wear a compression garment?
The period is defined by the extent of the procedure, generally a few weeks of continuous use. Compression directly influences the final contour.
Does the fat come back after liposuction?
The removed cells do not return, but the remaining ones can increase in volume with weight gain. Keeping a stable weight is part of the result.
Can I get pregnant after a tummy tuck?
It's possible, but pregnancy tends to undo the abdominal wall correction. If you're planning a pregnancy in the near term, it's usually best to postpone the surgery.
Intimate surgery
Explore the procedureDoes intimate surgery change sensitivity?
Functional preservation is a premise of the planning. The technique is chosen to maintain sensitivity, and this is discussed in detail at the consultation.
Is recovery very long?
Rest is usually a few days, with return to physical activity within a few weeks. Local hygiene, light clothing and abstinence for the recommended period are part of the postoperative care.
Is the care discreet?
The evaluation is individual and private, and the clinical record follows the same confidentiality rules as any medical consultation.
Post-bariatric surgery and body lift
Explore the procedureHow long after bariatric surgery can I have this surgery?
The criterion is a stable weight for a few months, not a fixed date. Operating during weight loss means redoing the work later, with new excess skin.
Can everything be done at once?
Not safely. Combined surgical time and scope make it unfeasible. Planning is done in stages, with intervals that respect the recovery of each one.
Are the scars large?
They are. The amount of skin to be removed defines the length, and there's no way to resect a large excess with a short scar. This is discussed in detail before the decision.
Why do I need nutritional follow-up?
Because healing depends on nutritional status, and deficiencies are common after bariatric surgery. Exams and prior correction are part of the preoperative stage of each phase.
Does health insurance cover it?
There may be coverage in situations with documented functional impact. The necessary clinical documents are provided, but the decision belongs to the insurer.
Lipedema
Explore the procedureHow do I know if I have lipedema?
The diagnosis is clinical and considers the symmetric distribution, involvement that spares the feet, tenderness to pressure, and easy bruising. The in-person evaluation is the path, and a diagnosis often brings relief to those who lived with the condition unnamed.
Does losing weight solve it?
Lipedema fat doesn't respond proportionally to diet and exercise. Losing weight improves overall health and helps with management, but doesn't treat the disease's characteristic distribution.
Does surgery cure it?
No. Lipedema is chronic. Surgery, when indicated, reduces volume and relieves symptoms; conservative management remains necessary afterward.
Will I need more than one surgery?
It is common. The extent of the affected areas usually requires more than one surgical session, with an interval between them.
Is it the same as aesthetic liposuction?
No. The technique is oriented toward preserving the lymphatic system, and the primary goal is relieving pain and heaviness, not sculpting contour.
Does health insurance cover it?
There may be coverage with an appropriate diagnosis and clinical documentation. The documentation is provided, but the decision belongs to the insurer.
Facelift
Explore the procedureWill a facelift make my face look pulled tight?
This appearance can result from pulling only the skin. A facelift aims to reposition deeper tissues while preserving natural expression; no specific result can be promised.
Where are the scars?
Incisions are usually placed inside the ear, around its back and into the hairline. Their location and appearance vary with the technique and each person’s healing.
How soon can I return to work after a facelift?
Many patients return to administrative work between the second and third week as swelling and bruising subside. Physical or strenuous work may require more time, with clearance at follow-up.
Can I have blepharoplasty at the same time as a facelift?
This is a very common combination of procedures and can be performed, when there is an indication for treatment, provided that safety criteria are strictly respected, including the appropriate surgical time for each case.
Blepharoplasty
Explore the procedureDoes blepharoplasty change the shape of my eyes?
The goal is to relieve heaviness and a tired appearance, not to change your eye shape. The procedure removes excess eyelid skin and, when enlarged, fat pads.
Are bruises common after blepharoplasty?
Swelling and bruising are common after surgery and usually subside in about 10 to 15 days. Cold compresses, relative rest and avoiding sun exposure can support recovery.
When can I wear makeup again after blepharoplasty?
Stitches are generally removed within 5 to 7 days, followed by healing checks. If the incision has closed without separation, makeup may be resumed after 15 to 20 days, subject to review at follow-up.
Can I go home on the day of surgery?
Yes. Blepharoplasty usually does not require an overnight stay, and discharge is generally on the day of surgery.
Minimally invasive procedures
Explore the procedureWhat is the difference between botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid?
Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces selected muscle contraction and softens expression lines. Hyaluronic acid restores volume or adjusts contours. They are not substitutes.
Does a collagen biostimulator fill the face?
That is not its main purpose. It gradually stimulates collagen production and improves skin firmness and quality over the following months.
Will the result look artificial?
The goal is to preserve expression and identity. Points, doses and volumes are defined by anatomy and the concern, without a fixed protocol.
Do I need time off work?
Usually not. Swelling, redness or minor bruising may occur, and each treatment has specific guidance for the first hours.
Mommy makeover
Explore the procedureHow long after giving birth can I have surgery?
The criterion isn't the birth date, but stabilization: completed breastfeeding, a stabilized breast, and a stable weight for a few months. In practice, this usually happens from six months after breastfeeding ends, with individual variation.
Can everything be done in a single surgery?
In many cases yes, as long as total surgical time stays within a safe range and exams show no abnormalities. When that is not the case, the recommendation shifts to two shorter surgical sessions.
Will I be able to take care of my children afterward?
Not without help in the first two weeks. Lifting weight and carrying children become off-limits, and this is the most underestimated practical limitation. Household support needs to be arranged before the date.
What is diastasis and why does it matter?
It is the separation of the rectus abdominis muscles, common after pregnancy. It is not resolved by exercise when the separation is structural; the correction is surgical, by plication or by video.
Can I get pregnant after a mommy makeover?
It is possible, but a new pregnancy tends to undo the abdominal wall correction and change the breast again. If pregnancy is planned, it is usually best to postpone.
Do I need to lose weight first?
The criterion is a stable weight, not an ideal weight. Operating during a weight-loss process means the result will change afterward, with new excess skin.
Does liposuction replace a tummy tuck?
No. Liposuction treats localized fat; a tummy tuck treats excess skin and diastasis. When the problem is skin and the wall, lipo alone does not solve it, and can even worsen sagging.
How much time off work should I plan for?
For jobs without physical effort, two to three weeks is usually enough. Activities requiring effort need more time and clearance at an in-person follow-up.
